You practised: spot it · say something · speak up · don’t punish

    Your Speak-up card

If you see it, or it happens to you:

    • Say something, or check in afterwards.
    • Write down what happened: date, words, who was there.
    • Tell your manager, HR, or the ethics line if your company has one. Your company’s policy may require you to report it.
    • You can also contact the EEOC directly. There are deadlines (generally 180 days, 300 in many places), and reporting inside the company doesn’t pause them.
    • Being treated worse for reporting, or for helping someone report, can be retaliation.

    Test-out, revisited

A glossy turquoise-to-violet ring binder under a thick layer of gray dust, with a cobweb across one corner, a dried coffee ring and a peeling sparkle sticker. The label reads “Understanding Federal Anti-Discrimination Laws in the Workplace”; a neon-yellow sticky note says “Generated in 4 minutes!! – Mark”.

Not on My TeamMemories of a Ficus
